Girls’ Day Out to Mercier Orchards

Scarlett takes a girls’ day out trip to Blairsville and Blue Ridge with her mom and Meme to go apple picking at Mercier Orchards.

Have you ever been happy? I have. Let me tell you when I was happy.

First, my mom told me that we are going to have a girls day with my Meme. I was so overjoyed at that moment!

Now, it was only the day before our girls’ day out, but I was still so happy. The next morning mom checked me out of school for you know what. My meme and mom were waiting in the school office for me.

On the road, I was so hungry. I was so ready to eat lunch by the time we got to The Sawmill Place in Blairsville. At The Sawmill Place, they said that it will take 45 mins to order a meal. We didn’t want to wait that long, so we had to go to a different place.

The next place we tried was called Hole in the Wall. We had to wait, but not too long. After lunch, my meme got me a Hole in the Wall cup! 

We then left Blairsville and drove up to Blue Ridge to Mercier Orchards to go apple picking.

After picking apples, we went to downtown Blue Ridge to shop. Mom said, “You can buy something,” so I picked out a stuffed animal. The stuffed animal was a tiger, so I named it Tigery. You could heat it up in the microwave and it smelled like lavender. How fun! I still have Tigery.
