My First Trip to Great Wolf Lodge

A short recap of Great Wolf Lodge from the perspective of an 8 year old.

On Christmas Day, my family went to Great Wolf Lodge. You probably know that place. It took us 2 hours to get there.

We had flip flops on and it was freezing cold outside. So when we got inside, it felt good. I took one look at everything and my head went “KABOOM!”

I had never seen anything bigger and better than this place! When we got checked in, we asked where the waterpark was and headed straight for it. We were ready to go there!

The first time I went in the water, it was freezing cold! Then, I got used to it and played and played until my mom and dad forced me to ride a slide. I was scared, but once I rode it I wanted to ride it again and again.

Soon, I got tired of the same slide and tried a different one. Next, I went on a a slide with my dad and it was twirling and connecting everywhere.

Then, I raced my mom. I hated it when I went backwards and I was screaming at my mom. I said, “Mom, did you see that?” My mom said, “You are so brave.”

After we played for 2-3 hours there, we got hungry so we went to the lodge to eat and sleep.

The next day, we went back to the waterpark to do a few more slides and water activities, like the floating logs.

We finally packed up and left for the trip home. I can’t wait to go back to Great Wolf Lodge with my grandma!
